DIY Love Notes Box

From the blog Eighteen25
How adorable is this DIY love note box from the blog Eighteen25?!? I love it, this is on my "project to do list". This is a great gift for a wedding present, you can even personalize it with initials on it. I LOVE "love notes", receiving them and writing them. I have a box full of notes that my hubby has written to me and me to him, what a great way to store them. This can even be good for love notes to your kiddos.

Jaime's Baby Shower

A few girlfriends and I had the honor of throwing a baby shower for our dear friend Jaime and her soon to be little man Breckin (such an adorable name). We had so much fun putting this shower together. His room is a "tree theme" with monkeys, owls, birds etc, so we went with that kind of theme. It turned out great and the mommy and daddy to be enjoyed themselves being showered and blessed by all their friends. Thanks Jaime for letting us be a part of this!!

We made our own tissue balls which add such great decoration and can be customized to any color

"Baby Breckin" sign made out of burlap and Cricut cut letters mod podged on, she can then hang it in his room

Oh desserts....or "Mommy's Cravings" So Yummy....cake pop balls, mini cupcakes, chocolate covered peanut butter balls, chocolate covered cookie dough balls, millionaire bars.....oh and you can't forget the candy bar for favors.....mommy's choice of sweets..... everything was SO good and the best part is they were all handmade by my mother in law who owns a catering company English Rose Teas

Drinks...can't have a shower without Sangria (not for the mommy though), lemonade and water with fruit ice cubes and of course in nice pitchers and labeled for the guests! Guests also brought books instead of a card, such a great way to start a library for Baby!

The Wisdom Tree- we made a tree that guests could write down some "wisdom" for Baby Breckin.....oh I think Breckin will laugh and cry one day when he gets to read all his thoughtful wishes.

Krylon Glitter Spray Paint

Oh my Glitter Blast Spray paint!!! I must use this, and I love the look of these pumpkins too! Now my mind is thinking of all the possible things I can spray paint with glitter.....who doesn't want to add some sparkle to your life!

10 things I love about you....

I came across the blog The Creative Place a few months back and found this great template for "ten things I love about you". It was actually done for a Mother's Day gift but I decided to use it as 9 year anniversary card and give to my hubby.  I printed out the template and put onto card stock as a backing, punched holes in the top and put a ring on with some ribbon and my cute homemade, meaningful card was made. I added "old" photos to it and my hubby loved it! This can be used for any occasion that you want to tell someone you love them! If you want to download the template go here.

My finished book for my hubby

Each page was numbered and after each page I added a picture

Awwe...look at how young we were...oh time goes by so fast!

DIY Drink Coasters

Drink Coasters you can never have enough and after many hours on pinterest I found a great and super cheap way to make your own for any occasion.

A simple trip to Home Depot for white bathroom tiles...( only 16 cents each)  a bottle of modpodge and some scrapbook paper and you have coasters. First step cut scrapbook paper into 4x4 squares....Second step apply modpodge to tile stick paper and allow to dry...Last Step modpodge over scrapbook paper and presto!!! New Coasters..

Perfect gift idea for house warming...or placecards at thanksgiving.

Love Notes

So my Hubby took a trip to vegas for a few days this week and I wanted to put a little note in his luggage. So I took 3 envelopes ( you can use as many as you need for however many notes/days ) and I glued flaps together to make little pockets for notes/treats.

Cute cardstock with hand written note for each day!
Punched a hold added a cute ribbon and love notes are done.

Spray Paint

I have a new love for spray paint! I have to be honest I have never used spray paint up until a few months ago when I discovered all the wonderful old things you can make look like new, or just a new "updated look". I first started off wanting to make a chalkboard picture frame, and once I finished it and put it next to my old, outdated knife block, my husband (giving his two cents) said I should paint the knife block too. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I did! It gives the counter a fresh new look! I love my little chalkboard, I hope to write some love notes on it each morning for the family to read.
I started with this frame and spray painted it white
Painted the glass part with Chalkboard paint
This is the before color
Thanks to my hubby he told me I should cover the slots, so I stuffed them with wax paper
The after- a white knife block set and a chalkboard for love notes in the morning :)
