The Queen's Bakery- Is having a great deal right now on Travelzoo for $20 for tea for 2 (a $46 value). So happy my friend V and I are going to have a date there. Remember my post here about this place and how much I loved it!
I love this groop dealz site, daily deals from boutiques. Love the chevron table runners they are featuring right now too.
Happy shopping for deals!

The Sweetest Tea Party

My daughter was invited to my sweet friend Amanda's (from Assorted Lovelies) little girls Tea Party and it was ADORABLE. Amanda made all the decorations herself, and all the details were fabulous. All the food and tea was provided by non other than my sweet Mother in Love, Sandie (from English Rose Teas). The best part about this cute little 4th birthday was that it was a tea for the mommies too (my kind of  relaxing party!) Amanda is a blog writer for the OC Family and you can check out all the great pictures on her last post here.

Happy birthday sweet girl. We had a great time! Amanda you did an amazing job!

Pallet Garden

I have a total black thumb...however I am always lusting over beautiful backyards. Lately I have been seeing a lot of pallet gardens...and I began to think perhaps it was something small scale I could tackle. First task was finding the perfect pallet...
Found it!!! even gizmo likes it :)

Then I had to deciede from the many ideas I pinned on Pinterest which one would be perfect in my backyard...once I determined that then it was time for plants and pots...

Cactus and other succulents are pretty hard to kill so I figured they are the best option for a start planter

So with all the items ready all I needed to do was put it together...easier said then done...however with a little help from some friends...( thanks Iggy and Mo ) I completed my planter!

Fits perfect right on the wall between my two doors to the backyard

The Groves Antique Market at the OC Park

This past weekend I went to the Antique Market at the OC Great Park and let me tell you I was actually impressed. I kind of felt like I was on American Pickers or Pawn Stars, there was SO many random, eccentric, neat, old vintage things to look at. I was with my two sweet kiddos who asked about a million questions on what things were! I spent about a little less than 2 hours there and didn't really feel like I was able to look at everything, not to mention I was way to worried about my kids touching everything! Next time I will definetly go kidless and with a few girlfriends (not sure if the hubby would appreciate it as much as I do, but maybe). The vintage jewelry was great, I want to buy a few pieces next time I go. It is only open the first Sunday of every month from 7am-2pm, free parking and admission, I suggest getting there early, as it was already packed and I was there at 8 am. I found some old books for the kids and myself, a "London" spoon for my mother in love, and I bought my dad an old croquet set for his birthday. There were so many other things I would have loved to purchase, but like I said I was with two little impatient kiddos! I snapped a few photos of some things that caught my eye.

Love the old kid chairs, Taelor loved the pink chandelier, I think the old cash register and the old blue camera would look great as decorations around the house and I would LOVE an old type writer (the kids were so intrigued at what this was!)

I would love to buy some old vintage, metal trucks for Ethan's room, loved the old rocking horse, I really want an old suitcase especially in that blue color, an old Betty Crocker cook book (you know those have the best recipes your grandma made), and the croquet set I bought my Dad!
Can't wait to go again in May! Who wants to join me?!? I think I might be on the look out for more Antique markets..... I know my mom and dad are cringing right now for all those times I said I was bored in "those" stores when I was a kid! Now I know how they felt when my two were bored after an hour! Oh well one day they will appreciate it too!

Until next time...

Easter

Easter is my second favorite holiday (Christmas is my first), I LOVE this holiday and I always have since I was a child. I grew up (and still do) going to church every Sunday, but Easter Sunday was special church day, not only because of the most important reason of celebrating that He has risen, but I ALWAYS had a fancy dress, a fancy hat, new shoes, and a fun filled Easter basket! Decorating eggs was always so much fun, and after church all of my family would get together to continue celebrating with food, candy and an Easter egg hunt. I have so many wonderful memories of Easter and I am passing these memories down to my sweet kids too. They are already counting down the days till Easter. I am really excited to decorate eggs this year and wanted to share a few that I might just try out (found via Martha Stewart....she always has the best ideas). I hope you all have a great week getting ready for Easter.
